Assistant Quality Assurance Manager

Key Focus

The primary focus of this role is to conduct quality checks, supervise all quality assurance activities, and ensure the quality of materials and finished goods in the Switchboard/Electrical Panel Industry.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Quality Control & Inspection:
Monitor and evaluate in-process and final inspections for assigned products.

Verify stage-wise rejections and implement corrective actions to minimize firsthand
rejections.

2. Calibration & Documentation:
Support calibration activities and ensure timely delivery of instruments.

Prepare quality-related documents for local vendors and suppliers.

Maintain vendor quality records and MIS reports.

3. Complaint Handling & Root Cause Analysis:
Address internal quality complaints, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective
actions in coordination with the HOD.

4. Productivity & Process Improvement:
Initiate activities to achieve productivity targets on a monthly basis.

Implement quality improvement initiatives using TQM, CNQ, and other tools.

5. Customer Handling & Third-Party Inspections:
Coordinate with customers for third-party inspections in consultation with the HOD.

Support sales coordination to ensure customer quality requirements are met.

Functional Competencies

• Understanding of product standards (IS/IEC Standards for LV/MV Panels).
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes in the electrical panel industry.
• Awareness of ISO 9001 and QMS (Quality Management Systems).
• Hands-on testing experience for electrical panels.
• Proficiency in quality tools like TQM, CNQ, and root cause analysis methods.
• PLC Programming knowledge (preferred).

Required Testing Experience

Candidates must have experience in most of these testing electrical panels, including:

• Physical Dimension Measurement (Vernier/Micrometer)
• Electrical/Functional Testing
• High Voltage/Dielectric Test
• Insulation Resistance Test
• Current Injection Test
• Millivolt Drop Test
• DFT (Dry Film Thickness) Measurement
