Role & responsibilities
1. Develop and implement recruitment strategies: Create effective recruitment plans to attract top academic talent, utilizing various sources such as job boards, social media, and professional networks.
2. Manage job postings and advertising: Coordinate job postings, advertisements, and other recruitment materials to ensure timely and effective promotion of academic positions.
3. Source and screen candidates: Utilize various sourcing techniques to identify potential candidates, and conduct initial screenings to ensure candidates meet the required qualifications.
4. Coordinate interviews and assessments: Arrange interviews, assessments, and other evaluation methods to ensure a thorough and fair candidate selection process.
5. Extend job offers and negotiate terms: Extend job offers to selected candidates, and negotiate salary, benefits, and other employment terms.
6. Ensure compliance with recruitment regulations: Ensure all recruitment activities comply with institutional policies, laws, and regulations.
7. Maintain recruitment metrics and reports: Track and analyze recruitment metrics, providing regular reports to stakeholders on recruitment progress and outcomes
Preferred candidate profile
1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field: A degree in a relevant field, with a focus on human resources, recruitment, or a related discipline.
2. Minimum 2 years of recruitment experience: Proven experience in recruitment, preferably in an academic or higher education setting.
3. Knowledge of academic recruitment processes: Familiarity with the unique aspects of academic recruitment, including faculty searches and tenure-track positions.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with academic stakeholders, candidates, and colleagues.
