Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Infusion Manager to oversee the management of infusion drugs within our healthcare practice. This key role involves the procurement, management, and collection of infusion drugs to ensure that our practice is efficiently utilizing resources while minimizing financial losses. The Infusion Manager will also work closely with patients, insurance companies, and internal teams to manage the logistical and financial aspects of drug procurement and usage, ensuring compliance with insurance policies and patient needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Infusion Drug Procurement and Inventory Management:
• Manage the purchasing process for infusion drugs, ensuring that adequate stock levels are maintained to meet patient demand.
• Maintain accurate records of drug inventory and usage.
• Track expiration dates and ensure that drugs are used within their prescribed shelf life.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to optimize cost-effectiveness.
2. Drug Usage Management:
• Monitor the usage of infusion drugs to prevent wastage and ensure efficient allocation.
3. Financial and Insurance Management:
• Review insurance policies and manage the process of verifying coverage for infusion drugs.
• Work with insurance companies to ensure proper reimbursement for covered drugs.
• If insurance does not cover the cost of a drug, communicate with the patient, advising them to purchase the drug directly.
• Maintain financial records of drug-related expenses and revenue, reporting regularly to management.
4. Patient and Staff Communication:
• Provide clear communication to patients regarding the responsibility for acquiring infusion drugs when insurance coverage is not available.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure that all parties are informed of any changes in drug availability or insurance coverage.
• Serve as a point of contact for patients with questions regarding their infusion drugs or financial obligations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in healthcare administration, pharmacy management, or a related field with emphasis on infusion drugs.
• Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to manage budgets, track costs, and evaluate financial outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, insurance companies, and internal staff.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in office software, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and healthcare management systems.
• Knowledge of insurance processes, particularly regarding infusion drugs and related reimbursements, is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in healthcare management or pharmacy-related fields is a plus.
• Previous experience in managing drug procurement and inventory in a healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with infusion therapy and the healthcare industry's regulations and insurance requirements.
