Job Description
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements related to credit underwriting processes and systems. Ensure a clear and comprehensive understanding of business needs.
- Data Analysis: Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization in credit underwriting. Use data-driven insights to make recommendations for process improvements.
- Documentation: Create detailed business requirement documents (BRDs), use cases, and functional specifications. Maintain documentation and keep it up-to-date throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team. Ensure clear and effective communication of requirements, changes, and project progress.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to define test cases and ensure that the developed solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of credit underwriting processes and the CART system.
- Training, Conducting Demo, and Support: Provide training and support to end-users to ensure successful adoption of new features and functionality.
- Risk Assessment: Assist in assessing and mitigating risks associated with credit underwriting processes and system changes.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to credit underwriting and risk assessment.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. A masters degree like a Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant in allied domains is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the credit underwriting or financial services domain is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and draw meaningful insights.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear and concise documentation.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of credit risk modeling and regulatory compliance in the financial industry is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Detail-oriented and organized with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
