Job Description
Nomura in Powai is looking for a Controls Transformation Lead. Reporting jointly to the Head of CCO India & Global Head of Controls Transformation, this role will support GCIO - CCO in establishing new controls framework, policies, standards, procedures, and tools.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Controls Transformation Manager looking for a career development opportunity. They will play a pivotal role within GCIO - CCO in implementing the end-to-end GCIO risk management framework. We are looking for someone with extensive experience in delivering risk management framework changes, with strong influencing and problem-solving skills who can develop and maintain productive working relationships across GCIO globally, and stakeholders in 2LOD and 3LOD.
Key responsibilities:
GCIO risk management framework
- Support the design, implementation and embedding of GCIO risk management framework.
Tool Implementation and Embedding
- Embed the GCIO risk management framework into approved risk management tools.
Controls Framework Advisory
- Provide advisory to GCIO colleagues globally on GCIO - CCO services e.g., Risk Management Framework, RCSA, operational events, KRI, KCI, scenario analysis, controls, issue management etc.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior executives, business units, and IT teams, to promote a sound risk culture of awareness and accountability.
Talent Development
- Build and lead a high-performing team of IT & Cyber resilience risk professionals, providing mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in Technology controls transformation including but not limited to establishing new risk management framework, policies, standards, procedures, tools etc.
- Strong understanding of risks relevant to GCIO - such as Information Technology (IT), Information Security (IS), and/ or Data Management
- Breadth of experience in non-financial risk management, for example, Risk Appetite, Risk Taxonomy, Control Library, Risk and Control Self-Assessment, Controls Testing, Issue Management, Scenario Analysis, KRIs, KCIs etc
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience operating in a regulated environment and managing stakeholders across the Three Lines of Defense.
- (Preferred) - Prior experience in delivering GRC tooling and embedding end-to-end non-financial risk management framework in a GRC tool.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with cyber security, resilience and related domains preferred.
