The Instrument Data Quality team in Powai supports all reference data activities with a 24*5 support infrastructure in place. The scope of Data Quality support spans over globally. No matter where you work within financial services, your job will have information at its core and every job depends on ready access to accurate, reliable, timely and relevant data. The demand for aligned and centralized financial data underlies every process within Securities and Investments firms. Indeed regulatory acts such as MiFID, BCBS239, Basel II, the U.S. Patriot Act, U.K. Money Laundering and the Security and Exchange Commissions Regulation NMS mandate financial institutions to maintain highly accurate data.
The Instrument Data Quality team is responsible to ensure that instruments data across all asset types are accurate within the master database as per the vendors.

Role description:
Asset set ups and Maintenance for all market products on instrument master database for global regions and managing the business expectation of completing the same within SLA.
Pro-actively manage and action control reports to ensure no trading and operational issues during trading hours.
Co-ordination with vendor for providing quality data in timely manner. Liaising with the IT groups to work on enhancement and prioritization.
Identifying the reasons for manual processing and providing suggestions to have an STP/automation process.
Trouble shooting of day-to-day resolution of issues, monitoring of operational metrics against pre-established service levels and setting up of instruments as per market vendor
Accurately analyzing and performing data quality checks
Working on high volumes of Data within the team.
Perform remediation in various applications.
Contribute towards Impact Analysis Document and Root Cause Analysis Document.
Ability to co-ordinate / follow up with multiple teams as part of resolving breaks.
To work and coordinate within team for delivering the task on hand.
To grasp and understand applications and their navigation quickly.
Timely escalation as appropriate for any issues / risks.
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
Preferred MBA Operations/Finance (tier II schools) with experience or graduate with relevant experience
Understanding of Reference Data i.e. instruments data and related vendors,
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong MS Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint) skills
Ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines
