Manager - Finance

The Finance Manager (Core Accounting) is responsible for overseeing the companys financial reporting, compliance, and accounting operations. This role ensures accurate financial records, adherence to regulatory standards, and effective financial controls to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Oversee general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Implement and monitor accounting policies in compliance with GAAP.
• Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Accounts Payable & Receivable (AP & AR) Management

• Supervise invoice processing, vendor payments, and supplier reconciliations.
• Ensure timely collection of receivables and manage outstanding balances.
• Monitor cash flow to optimize working capital.

Taxation & Compliance

• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings (GST, VAT, Corporate Tax, TDS).
• Liaise with tax consultants and auditors for compliance-related matters.
• Stay updated with regulatory changes and ensure adherence to local tax laws.

Internal Controls & Audit

• Establish and monitor internal financial controls to prevent fraud.
• Coordinate statutory, internal, and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), Ind AS, and GAAP standards.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget variances and provide financial insights to management.
• Support cost-saving initiatives and financial efficiency programs.

Key Skills & Competencies:

✔ Strong knowledge of accounting standards (Ind AS/GAAP)
✔ Expertise in financial reporting & compliance
✔ Proficiency in accounting software (Tally)
✔ Analytical mindset with attention to detail
✔ Strong leadership and communication skills
✔ Ability to manage multiple financial functions effectively

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: CA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent
Experience: 8-10 years in core accounting & financial management
Industry Preference: [Ecommerce, Retail, FMCG etc.]
