Job Title: Blue Collar Recruiter

Reports To: HR Manager / Talent Acquisition Manager

Job Summary:
The Blue Collar Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and recruiting candidates for various blue-collar positions within the company. This includes jobs in manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, construction, and other labor-intensive roles. The recruiter will work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure the timely placement of qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Talent Sourcing & Recruitment:
  
• Source candidates through various channels including job boards, social media, recruitment agencies, and local outreach (job fairs, community events, etc.).
• Screen resumes and conduct initial phone interviews to assess candidates skills, experience, and qualifications.
• Schedule and conduct in-person or virtual interviews with hiring managers.
• Develop job descriptions and job postings for various blue-collar roles.
• Build a pool of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
• Candidate Management:
  
• Maintain a database of qualified blue-collar candidates and ensure timely communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
• Provide a positive candidate experience by being responsive and informative.
• Conduct background checks, reference checks, and other pre-employment screenings as needed.
• Collaboration with Hiring Managers:
  
• Work closely with department heads and hiring managers to understand specific job requirements and fill roles quickly and efficiently.
• Advise hiring managers on recruitment strategies, candidate expectations, and industry trends.
• Provide regular updates on recruitment progress and candidate pipelines.
• Onboarding & Orientation:
  
• Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring that all documentation, training, and compliance requirements are met.
• Conduct orientation sessions for new hires, introducing them to company policies and safety protocols.
• Market Research & Reporting:
  
• Keep up-to-date with labor market trends, compensation standards, and best practices for blue-collar recruiting.
• Track and report on key recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, candidate quality, and retention rates.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred but not required).
• Experience:
• At least 1-5 years of experience in recruiting blue-collar workers, ideally in industries such as manufacturing, logistics, or construction.
• Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other HR software.
• Key Skills:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with labor laws, workplace safety regulations, and industry-specific recruitment challenges.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple hiring projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience recruiting for a variety of blue-collar roles (e.g., warehouse workers, machine operators, construction laborers).
• Bilingual (Spanish, Hindi, or other languages) a plus, depending on the region and workforce.
• Certification in HR or recruiting (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
