Associate Team Lead - QA

What will you do

The ideal candidate will have expertise in manual testing, documentation, cross-functional collaboration, and project coordination. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end testing of mobile applications and web portals, ensuring high-quality software delivery through effective test planning, execution, and documentation. This role also involves team collaboration, defect tracking, and basic project management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform end-to-end testing of web portals and mobile applications to ensure functionality, usability, and performance.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test strategies for different testing phases.
• Conduct API testing and reporting using tools like Postman and Rest Assured.
• Track and manage defects using JIRA, Open Project, or similar testing tools.
• Ensure compliance with testing methodologies and standards, including bug triage, test templates, and reporting formats.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test scripts, test reports, and defect logs.
• Document best practices, testing workflows, and knowledge transfer guides to improve QA processes.
• Ensure test results are clearly communicated to stakeholders, development teams, and project managers.
• Work closely with development, product, and business teams to align testing strategies with business goals.
• Participate in requirement analysis and provide insights on testability, risks, and coverage gaps.
• Facilitate cross-functional team discussions to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
• Support Agile processes by contributing to sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and retrospectives.
• Manage and mentor junior QA engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Provide basic project management support, including test execution tracking, risk assessment, and reporting project status to leadership.

What are we looking for:

• End-to-End Testing for Web Portals & Mobile Applications
• Strong knowledge of Testing Methodologies & Terminology (Bug Triage, Test Strategies, Life Cycle)
• API Testing & Reporting (Postman, Rest Assured)
• Hands-on experience with Testing & Tracking Tools (JIRA, Open Project, MySQL, Oracle, Putty, Eclipse, UI Automator)
• Strong test documentation and reporting skills
• Cross-functional team collaboration experience
• Basic understanding of Development & Deployment Cycles
• Team Handling & Mentorship skills
• Basic Project Management Experience (tracking test execution, reporting, and risk assessment)
• Experience working in an Agile environment

Education Qualification - Bachelors degree in software engineering or computer science.

Experience - Total Experience: 8 to 13 years,

Industry - IT/Software/BFSI/ Banking /Fintech

Work arrangement 5 days working from office
