QA Project Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Project Lead to oversee and manage the quality assurance processes for our software development projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of software quality by defining test strategies, implementing automation frameworks, and leading a team of QA engineers.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage the QA team to ensure efficient test execution.
• Define and implement QA processes, standards, and best practices.
• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Implement and manage test automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency.
• Collaborate with development, product management, and business teams to ensure quality in every phase of the development lifecycle.
• Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution.
• Conduct root cause analysis and drive continuous improvements in testing methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular status reports to stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to software development best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Experience in testing web applications, APIs, and mobile applications (Android & iOS).
• Proficiency in SQL for validating database transactions.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Appium, or similar.
• Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to performance testing and security testing.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• 8-10 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on manual testing.
• Experience in fintech or financial services applications is an advantage.

Education Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BSC CS/IT, BE/BTech) or equivalent.
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
