Job Title : Senior Technical Lead/Technical Manager

Role Overview :

We are looking for a Senior Tech Lead (Technical Manager) who is deeply technical and has strong leadership-not just a manager but a hands-on architect and execution owner.

This role requires leading by example, making real technical decisions, designing scalable systems, writing high-quality code when necessary, and ensuring architecture is future-proof. The ideal candidate will own one or more engineering boards, drive execution, and ensure the team delivers on time with high performance, scalability, and availability.

This is NOT a Scrum Master or simple Project Manager role-we need a technical powerhouse who understands code, architecture, and engineering challenges inside-out while also managing and mentoring a high-performance team.

The ideal candidate must have deep expertise in Java, Python, Microservices, Dockerization, CI/CD, GCP Cloud, and React, ensuring that engineering execution aligns with strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Technical Leadership & Execution (Real Hands-on Ownership) :

- Architect, design, and lead the development of scalable, cloud-native microservices on GCP Cloud.

- Ensure high performance, security, scalability, and reliability of all systems.

- Implement Docker/Kubernetes-based containerized deployments with CI/CD pipelines.

- Make real technical decisions, guide system design, and ensure clean, efficient, maintainable code.

- Oversee the integration of backend services with frontend applications built on React.

- Define engineering best practices, review code rigorously, and solve complex technical challenges.

2. Agile Execution & Delivery (Owning the Board) :

- Own one or more engineering boards, track execution, and ensure smooth Agile delivery.

- Work directly with the Product Owner (PO) to refine backlog, prioritize user stories, and align product development with business needs.

- Lead Agile ceremonies (Daily Standups, Grooming, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives).

- Identify and resolve blockers to ensure smooth sprint execution.

- Enforce high engineering standards while maintaining speed and agility in delivery.

3. Team Management & Cross-Team Collaboration :

- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, guiding them through complex problems.

- Collaborate with Architects, DevOps, QA, and Security teams for seamless integration.

- Ensure alignment of engineering execution with business objectives and long-term strategy.

- Handle production escalations, debugging, and issue resolution to maintain stability.

- Effectively communicate progress, technical challenges, and risks to leadership and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 7-10 years of hands-on experience in Java, Python, Microservices.

- Proven experience leading engineering teams while actively contributing technically.

- Expertise in GCP Cloud (AWS experience is a plus, but GCP is a must).

- Strong hands-on expertise in Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, etc.).

- Solid knowledge of React and backend/frontend integrations.

- Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Pub/Sub, etc.).

- Strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL (Redis, Elasticsearch), and API Gateways.

- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, backlog management, and Jira ownership.

- Proven ability to scale systems, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize performance.

- Experience in monitoring, logging, and production observability (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications (Added Advantage) :

- Exposure to Digital & Security Operations and MITRE Security Framework.

- Experience with LLMs, AI-driven applications, and cloud-native architectures.

- Strong ability to mentor, coach, and build high-performing teams.

- Experience presenting technical concepts to leadership and stakeholders.

- Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or related field.
