Engineering Program Mgr

NetApp Keystone is a pay-as-you-grow, subscription-based service that delivers a seamless hybrid cloud experience for customers who prefer an Operational Expenditure consumption model over a Capital Expenditure or leasing model. As an Engineering Program Manager in the Keystone team, you have an opportunity to be a part of a rapidly growing, agile, start-up minded team, focused on driving growth across both NetApp’s existing customer base and new customers. 

As an Engineering Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing complex engineering projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and operations, to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Your role will involve release management, risk assessment, and stakeholder communication.

• Own program & release management of key initiatives for Keystone. 
• Work with Product Management, Architecture, SRE and Engineering teams to design, scope and deliver features. 
• Manage and coordinate the end-to-end release process for engineering products, including planning, scheduling, and execution. 
• Work with Engineering team to meet gates for Dev freeze, QA sign-off and Security sign-off 
• Run weekly release meeting to provide visibility on release plans/status and also remove roadblocks. Identify actions, owners and track completion of action items discussed.  
• Prepare dashboards on JIRA and confluence. 
• Communicate release status, issues, and risks to stakeholders and senior management. 
•  Monitor and manage risks associated with releases, implementing mitigation strategies as needed. 
• Ensure that all releases comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements. 
• Schedule product demos to Product Managers and knowledge sharing mechanisms. 
• Facilitate post-release reviews (or) retrospectives to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

• Bachelor’s/ Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.  
• 8+ years of experience in engineering project management and release management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects. 
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall). 
• Strong understanding of release management methodologies and best practices. 
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. 
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Git 
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
• PMP, PMI-ACP,ITIL or similar certification is a plus. 
• Experience in the storage industry a plus.
