Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) to oversee customer workloads on the OpenShift platform and OpenStack infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps, automation, and cloud technologies, with a focus on designing and delivering efficient, reliable solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
• Manage and monitor OpenShift and OpenStack environments for high availability and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve OpenStack and OpenShift issues to ensure reliability.
• Design and deploy NFV/SDN-based networks and cloud virtualization technologies for telecom operators.
• Implement security measures and best practices to safeguard workloads and data.
• Configure and manage virtual networking (TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, VLAN, VXLAN, routing, DNS, DHCP) and storage environments.
• Develop and deploy scripts using Python and Ansible for automation and optimization.
• Collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams to improve cluster performance and operations.
• Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and trends.
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for processes and configurations.
• Participate in on-call support and incident response when required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Expertise:
• Strong hands-on experience with OpenStack and OpenShift administration and configuration.
• Certifications like Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) in OpenStack/OpenShift are highly desirable.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Travis CI).
• Scripting expertise in Python, Bash, and experience with Ansible.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, virtual networking, and storage configuration.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Security-conscious mindset with knowledge of OpenStack/OpenShift best practices.
• Education & Experience:
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing OpenStack/OpenShift environments.
• Flexible to work in a 24/7 support environment.
