OpenStack/Kubernetes Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure

We are seeking a highly skilled OpenStack/Kubernetes Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chennai. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, and management of our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities :

Cloud Infrastructure Design and Deployment :

- Design, architect, and deploy scalable and highly available OpenStack and Kubernetes-based cloud infrastructures.

- Configure and manage compute, storage, and network resources within the cloud environment.

- Ensure optimal performance and resource utilization.

Platform Administration :

- Administer and maintain OpenStack and Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, patching, and security updates.

- Monitor system health and performance, proactively addressing issues.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems.

Network Configuration :

- Configure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, and load balancers.

- Implement network security measures to protect the cloud infrastructure.

- Optimize network performance and troubleshoot network-related issues.

Storage Management :

- Manage and optimize storage systems, including block, object, and file storage.

- Implement data backup and disaster recovery strategies.

- Monitor storage performance and capacity.

Automation and Scripting :

- Develop and automate tasks using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Ansible.

- Create and maintain configuration management tools.

- Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Strong understanding of OpenStack and Kubernetes concepts and architecture.

- Hands-on experience with OpenStack components like Nova, Neutron, Cinder, and Swift.

- Proficiency in Kubernetes concepts, including pods, services, deployments, and replication controllers.

- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP, and other networking protocols.

- Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware.

- Knowledge of Linux system administration and troubleshooting.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Certifications like RHCSA or RHCE are a plus.

- Familiarity with hardware components like EMC VNX, Unity Storage, HP Blade Servers, Brocade SAN switches, and HP switches is advantageous.
