We are seeking a qualified and experienced proactive Technical Head to lead our Technical team and drive quality business growth at Nestavia Home Finance Private Limited. Our mission is to provide flexible and affordable financial solutions tailored to the unique needs of our customers in the semi-urban and rural areas. We are seeking a dynamic Technical Head to support our business efforts on PAN India basis.

Job Purpose:

The Head Technical will be responsible for overseeing the verification of all technical aspects related to property transactions, including but not limited to structural integrity, quality, and compliance and ensuring the smooth processing of loan applications. The key tasks include property assessments, technical evaluations, and managing construction-related risks. He will be involved in building a team and managing a team in supporting the loan disbursement process by validating that properties/projects meet the necessary regulatory and safety standards and for ensuring policies for technical evaluation of the properties including parameters of evaluation based on central and state laws are updated on regular basis and for providing strategic advice to the Senior Management Team on property valuation matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Policy formulation: Formulate and review on periodic basis, the Technical Policy of organization appropriate for the market segment (working with primarily undocumented income/Technical profiles) sought to be served including the adherence to central and state laws
• Policy implementation: Implementation of policies, procedures and Technical underwriting guidelines.
• Statutory compliance: Compliance with policies and procedures as per RBI/NHB guidance in line with the prescribed timelines.
• Training & Process Improvement: Lead and mentor a team of technical experts, providing ongoing training on legal and technical processes, and continuously improving valuation procedures.
• Regulatory Liaison: Keep the team updated on changes in housing finance regulations and property laws, ensuring compliance with any new standards or guidelines.
• Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with other departments such as sales, credit, legal, operations, and customer service to ensure smooth processing of housing finance applications and property transactions.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all technical checks are conducted thoroughly and accurately, with a focus on maintaining high standards and minimizing errors or delays in the loan processing cycle.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: A Civil Engineer with M. Tech / B. Tech
• Experience: 15+ years of experience in a senior technical role within housing finance, real estate, or legal due diligence. At least 5 years in managing teams focused on property valuation.
• Legal Knowledge: In-depth understanding of property laws, real estate regulations, encumbrance checks, and the process of technical evaluation in the housing finance industry.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies or issues in property documents and contracts.
• Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of technical experts.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with internal teams, valuation experts, and external stakeholders effectively.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to assess valuation challenges in complex property-related and find solutions to resolve challenges quickly and efficiently.
• Risk Management: Strong understanding of risk management and mitigation strategies related to property valuation and risks on stage-wise construction.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with digital tools and online platforms including Government portal for ascertaining guideline values used for property valuation.
• Knowledge of specific regional or state property laws.
• Experience working with financial institutions or housing finance companies on technical property-related processes.
