Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced SQL Developer.

This dual role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our SQL databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and availability.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SQL Server and other database technologies, as well as experience in both development and administration.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and implement SQL databases, tables, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.

- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data retrieval, manipulation, and reporting.

- Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data integration.

- Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues.

- Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to understand data requirements.

- Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances.

- Perform database backups and recovery procedures.

- Monitor database performance and identify potential bottlenecks.

- Implement database security measures to protect sensitive data.

- Manage user accounts and permissions.

- Ensure database availability and uptime.

- Perform database upgrades and patching.

- Document database configurations and procedures.

Other Responsibilities :

- Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and trends.

- Participate in code reviews and best practice discussions.

- Provide support to end-users for database-related issues.

- Collaborate with other IT team members on projects.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 6+ years of experience in SQL database development and administration.

- Strong knowledge of SQL Server and T-SQL.

- Experience with other database technologies (e., MySQL, Oracle) is a plus.

- Proficiency in database design and normalization.

- Experience with ETL processes and data integration.

- Solid understanding of database security best practices.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
