Neebal Technology - Senior DevOps Engineer - IAC Terraform (5-7 yrs)

Job Description :

Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS (primary focus).

- Provision and manage virtual machines, containers, networking, storage, and other cloud resources.

- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

- Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.

- Automate deployment processes, configuration management, and infrastructure provisioning.

- Create and maintain advanced shell scripts for automation tasks, leveraging tools like awk, grep, and sed.

- Implement and manage monitoring and logging solutions using APM tools.

- Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and infrastructure issues.

- Set up alerts and notifications for critical system events.

- Ensure security best practices are implemented throughout the infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.

- Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments.

- Implement and maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.

- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient deployments.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

- Document processes and procedures.

- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.

- Apply ITIL/ITSM best practices to manage incidents, changes, and problems.

- Prioritize tasks effectively based on business impact and urgency.

- Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage to minimize costs.

- Implement cost-effective solutions and strategies.

- Design and implement systems that are highly available and scalable.

- Implement load balancing and failover mechanisms.

- Build for security, Scalability, Availability and cost optimisation.

Technical Skills :

- Expert-level proficiency with GNU/Linux operating systems, including advanced command-line usage and scripting.

- Extensive hands-on experience in writing advanced shell scripts for automation, utilizing tools like awk, grep, sed, and other standard Unix utilities.

- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS (required).

- Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, and APM solutions.

- Experience with tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

- Experience with monitoring and logging tools and techniques.

- Knowledge of ITIL/ITSM frameworks and best practices.

- Understanding of security best practices and principles.

- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.

Good to Have :

- Python Scripting : Experience with Python scripting for automation.

- Multi-Cloud Experience : Experience with Azure and/or GCP.

- Containerization : Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

- Configuration Management : Experience with tools like Ansible or Chef.

- Experience with Database administration.

Education and Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or related role.

- Relevant AWS certifications are a plus
