Alteryx - Senior DevOps Engineer - IAC Terraform (5-7 yrs)

About the Job :

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our engineering team by designing, implementing, and maintaining critical infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.

You will drive initiatives to automate and streamline development and operations workflows while ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of systems hosted primarily on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Key Responsibilities :

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) :

- Lead the design, implementation, and management of IaC using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, AWX, or CloudFormation.

Cloud Infrastructure Management :

- Design and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on cloud platforms like GCP and AWS.

- Leverage services like Google CloudRun, VMs, SQL, and other platform offerings.

CI/CD Development :

- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, testing, and deployment processes using tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.

Containerization and Orchestration :

- Implement containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes to ensure scalable and resilient application deployments.

Monitoring and Security :

- Establish robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to maintain system health, performance, and security.

- Lead efforts to improve security posture and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Collaboration and Optimization :

- Work closely with software engineers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to optimize development workflows and enhance delivery efficiency.

Continuous Improvement :

- Drive initiatives to evaluate new technologies and adopt best practices to enhance team productivity and software quality.

Incident Response :

- Participate in incident response and troubleshooting efforts to minimize downtime and address production issues effectively.

Educational Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience :

5-7 years of experience in a DevOps or similar role, with a proven record of designing and implementing scalable, reliable infrastructure solutions.

Technical Skills :

- Cloud Platforms : Strong experience with GCP and AWS, including services like Google CloudRun, VMs, SQL, etc. (Preference for GCP expertise).

- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

- Proficiency with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or other deployment tools.

- IaC Tools : Strong expertise with Terraform, Ansible, AWX, or similar configuration management tools.
