Chief Technology Officer

Role Overview:

As the Chief Technology Officer of NCDEX, your role would be:

• to create the Technology Mission/Strategy based on business goals and review on a continuous basis
• design and resource a Technology structure appropriate to meet all the mission critical and support IT application requirements for the Exchange
• formulate IT Policy, framework, operational procedures
• ensure compliance to all regulatory directives from time to time

To be successful in this role, you need to have:

• About 18 years of post-Bachelors relevant work experience in a reputable organization, with at least 5 years in a senior management role
• Significant experience in regulated business environment in financial services domain, preferably with SEBI regulated entity
• Proficient understanding of networking protocols, server management network security, and managing modern network infrastructure to ensure seamless and secure connectivity
• Strong business acumen to cultivate internal and external business connections and effectively lead change management processes related to technology in a multi-cultural work environment
• Proven track record of leading a high-performing engineering, infrastructure and application team
• Understanding of current technological trends and emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), block-chain, and their potential applications
• Strong analytical acumen, adept at simplifying complex problems, and skilled in orchestrating effective plans to address challenges and minimize risks
• Provide/ Ratify Technical Design/ Solutions in the areas of Applications, Infrastructure and Networking
• Proficient understanding of the software development lifecycle, business process mapping, and optimization
• Ability to design and deploy databases, as well as proficiently query and manage data
• Knowledge in risk management, security management, cyber security, data quality and external compliances.
• Knowledge of vendor evaluation, selection, and management to engage with external technology partners effectively
• Proficiency in IT governance, IT strategy and enterprise architecture
• Proven knowledge of disaster recovery planning and business continuity design
• Proven ability to work with senior leadership, governing board and regulators

Academic Qualification:

• B.Tech / B.E./ B.Sc. (IT) / BCA
• A Masters degree from accredited tertiary institution in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, Management Information System (MIS) or any other related field is preferred; relevant industry skill-based certification required
