Role & responsibilities

Role Summary:

The candidate will have a crucial role in overseeing and managing the risk committee's operations within the organization. This role involves coordinating risk management activities, facilitating committee meetings, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. He/she will collaborate closely with senior management, department heads, and external stakeholders to enhance the organization's risk management framework.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule and coordinate regular risk committee meetings, ensuring timely distribution of agenda
• Facilitate discussions during meetings, document decisions, and follow up on action items.
• Monitor and assess the organizations overall risk profile, ensuring alignment with risk appetite and tolerance levels.
• Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
• Ensure all risk management practices and committee activities comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Prepare and distribute comprehensive risk agendas and presentations for senior management and the Board.
• Maintain accurate records of committee meetings, decisions, and actions taken.
• Serve as a liaison between the risk committee, senior management, and department heads.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the risk committee and its processes.
• Implement best practices and recommendations for improving risk management practices.
• Support the implementation of risk management frameworks and policies.

Qualification

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Relevant work experience of 3-5 years in risk management.
• Proficiency in risk management and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• In-depth knowledge of risk management principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risks and propose effective mitigation strategies.
• Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
