Experience

Minimum 5 years in the areas defined (NetAPP Certified Professionals(NCDA etc.) or any other Enterprise Storage Certification in the area of SAN and NAS storage)

Roles & Responsibilities

Essential job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Hardware and Software installation, configuration and administration of SAN/NAS/Unified Storage and Storage Components like SAN switches, D2D backup devices, VTL, LTO Tape Libraries etc. Formulating Storage Replication methodologies; DR strategies

Skills

Skill Sets:

The candidate should mandatorily have the following areas of expertise:

Expertise on installation, configuration, upgradation and administration of SAN, NAS Storage (EMC, NetApp, IBM, HP etc) hardware and software

Storage Tiering concepts and practices

Storage Replication and DR practices

Expertise on the following Storage features

aggregate,

Snapshot,

Snapvault,

Snapmirror,

Snaprestore,

Snap Manager,

Snapdrive,

LUN Cloning

Thin provisioning, online expansion and shrinking of storage volumes etc

NFS v3 and v4 configurations

iSCSI and FCP configurations for LUN mapping

Multipathing

Storage Clustering( High Availability and Global Namespace e.g. CDOT mode)

Smartmove and other technologies for Data movement across tiered storages.

Disk based backup techniques

Space Reclamation

Sound knowledge of protocols like NDMP, FCP, iSCSI, NFSv4

Storage Administration using DFM and OCUM

Tape backup methodologies using LTO Tape Library

Should have experience in installation and configuration of at least two of the following Backup Softwares

-Symantec NetBackup,

-Dell NetVault

- Commvault

Expertise of configuration and administration of FC SAN switches with

Zoning (Hard and Soft)

Port Aggregation

Masking

ISL Trunking

Should also have a sound knowledge of RHEL Operating System

Desirable Attributes:

Ability to work independently.
Work within well-defined system support to ensure priorities faults to meet SLA/WLA.

An understanding of Cloud Architecture and Kubernetes platform.

Ability to work independently.
