Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Front Office Manager to oversee the daily
operations of our front office. The ideal candidate will manage front desk staff, handle guest
bookings, ensure high-quality service, and maintain a hygienic and well-organized
environment across all sections of the property. The candidate should also demonstrate a
solid understanding of hospitality operations and ensure a seamless experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the front office team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and providing leadership to front desk staff.
  • Handle guest check-ins, check-outs, and manage bookings using property management software (PMS). Strong software knowledge is essential.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen and guest rooms.
  • Ensure food quality is up to standard, tasting and presenting dishes that meet guest expectations, and overseeing food preparation to maintain hygienic practices.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve any issues in a timely, efficient, and professional manner. Prevent potential problems by proactively addressing concerns before they arise.
  • Oversee housekeeping staff to ensure that cleaning tasks are performed to a high standard; ensure that cleanliness inspections are conducted regularly.
  • Ensure smooth communication and collaboration between the front office, housekeeping, kitchen, and other departments to provide an exceptional guest experience.
  • Communicate and interact with guests in multiple languages, including Hindi, Telugu, and English.
  • Promote the hostel's offerings and services, supporting marketing efforts by engaging with software companies, explaining the property features, and assisting with promotional activities.
  • Review and monitor guest bookings, coordinate availability, and ensure that all reservations are accurately processed.
  • Provide training to staff and guide them in offering high-level customer service and hospitality standards.
  • Be proactive in resolving operational issues and ensuring that everything runs efficiently and smoothly.
  • Ensure the property complies with all hospitality regulations and company policies.


Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Hotel Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-13 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of front office operations, booking systems, and property management software.
  • Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food standards to ensure quality and safety.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages (Hindi, Telugu, English).
  • Experience in guest relations, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle challenging situations.
  • A customer-centric approach, ensuring that the guest experience is always prioritized.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a hotels & premium or boutique hostel setting.
  • Familiarity with promotional strategies and marketing efforts in the hospitality sector.
