Job Description

Attend OPD patients and prescribe relevant care plan.

Ensure accurate and complete record keeping.

Study admitted patients medical history then meet with them to discuss their complaints and symptoms.

Examination and diagnostic testing of patients.

Make diagnosis and recommend surgery or other treatment.

Prescribe drugs and supplements.

Supervise or perform routine OPD proceduresnoninvasive procedures minor surgical procedures independently and perform independently / assist major surgical procedure to senior consultants/director.

Conduct academic activities like Case presentationSeminars journal clubs.

Guide supervise junior doctors to patients in emergency and night callscarry out appropriate emergency management.

Attend interdepartmental referrals and prescribes appropriate management plan.

Ensure preoperative fitness of surgical patients.

To perform under supervisionassist procedure in the following subspecialities

Pediatric orthopedics

Spine surgery

Musculoskeletal oncology

Arthroplasty.

Sports Injuries

To perform independently / supervise residents in procedure in the following subspecialities

Shoulder Elbow surgery

Orthopedic Trauma

Hand Surgery

Foot Surgery

Pediatric Orthopedics

Ensure implementation of postoperative care plans and recommend lifestyle changes including dietexercise and other matters.

Finalize and counter sign on discharges prepared by resident doctors/Clinical Associate .
