Plant Manager

Plant Manager Job Description:

Responsible for plant operations, including factory administration, HR, production, maintenance, stores and logistics, and factory accounts.

> Meeting production targets according to sales requirements with efficient raw material and packing material planning at minimal inventory levels.

> Developing procedures to ensure effective maintenance of plant and equipment to maximise production efficiency.

> Ensuring all required operational approvals are obtained from management (production, maintenance, HR, stores, dispatch).

> Coordinating and following up with all internal departments to ensure timely completion of tasks.

> Monitoring and ensuring complete accountability for material consumption in manufacturing activities and WIP inventory, addressing variances due to efficiency and quality issues.

> Managing used drums and obtaining necessary scraping approvals.

> Utilizing resources optimally by coordinating between processes such as production planning, sourcing, logistics, and manufacturing units.

> Focusing on production as per business requirements.

> Setting up production targets and optimizing the use of manpower, machinery, and materials in accordance with ISO standards.

> Adhering to legal, safety, and environmental norms.

> Ensuring quality adherence according to production standards.

> Directing and controlling factory staff to ensure they are properly motivated, trained, and developed, and carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.
