Job Description
- Preferred Qualification : : Bachelor s degree from a recognized university having existing relationships / experience in managing government

- Domain Expertise: Understanding of the legislative process, government systems, regulatory framework and public policy development.
Experience
Seasoned professional with 15+ years of experience preferably in an Exchange , having deep understanding of India s policy/regulatory framework, relevant to the industry, At least 5 years experience at senior level in a policy advocacy or public affairs role in developing, implementing, and evaluating strategic policy advocacy plans, especially in a highly regulated environment. First-hand experience of working closely with networks, organizations, and advocacy partners across states and experienced in representing the organization externally at a senior level, networking, and working in coalitions. Demonstrated success in managing relationships with civil servants or officials from different institutions. Experience in commissioning evidence-based research to support policy asks
Job Responsibilities
Strategy Development and Implementation:
- Identify policy requirements, strategic opportunities, and entry points for advocacy efforts.
- Advocate and work with policymakers for required legislative/regulatory decisions and changes.
- Develop and implement a Company policy/regulatory engagement framework at the national and state levels.
- Develop subject matter expertise relevant to the industry and on the issues at hand.
- Support the relevant internal teams and other stakeholders in any policy/regulatory matters to ensure timely and proper action and representation.
- Drive measurable and timely delivery of required policy/regulatory changes.
- Work with cross functional teams to support ideation and implementation of advocacy requirements in line with business priorities.
- Prepare and deliver required policy/regulatory briefs for interventions wherever required.
- Keep a track of various policy/regulatory developments and give actionable feedback on the same.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build deep knowledge-based relationships and partnerships with key policymakers, government officials, regulatory departments, and bodies.
- Coordinate meetings, briefings, and events with policymakers to promote the organization s agenda.
- Network and collaborate with other organizations, and advocacy groups to build coalitions.
- Represent the organization at public forums, meetings, and conferences.
