Cam Engineer

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CAD CAM Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 5-axis CNC programming and extensive experience with aerospace and defense-related projects.

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CNC programs for 5-axis machining centers using UG NX or Mastercam software.
• Create tool paths for various machine tools such as VMC, HMC, and CNC lathes.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to create accurate and efficient machining processes.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and quality of aerospace and defense components.
• Conduct simulations and tests to validate CNC programs and ensure precision and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CNC programming and machining processes.
• Maintain and update CNC programming documentation and records.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in CNC programming and machining technologies.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in 5-axis CNC programming, preferably in the aerospace and defense industry.
• Proficiency in using UG NX and/or Mastercam software for CNC programming.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
