Power BI Developer

Who are we looking for?

Power BI Developer: 5 to 8 years of experience

Technical Skills:

• Power BI Development: Proficient in building interactive dashboards, customizing visuals, and implementing best practices for clear and effective data communication.
• Data Analysis Expressions (DAX): Intermediate ability to write calculated columns, measures, and queries for complex data calculations and analysis.
• SQL: Competent in writing basic SQL queries to extract, clean, and transform data from various relational databases.
• Data Modeling: Strong understanding of relational and star schema modeling, relationships, and hierarchies to ensure efficient report performance.
• Dashboard Design: Adept at creating visually appealing and user-friendly dashboards that align with business goals and storytelling principles.
• Problem Solving: Analytical thinker with the ability to identify data inconsistencies and troubleshoot report issues.
• Communication: Clear communicator, capable of gathering requirements and presenting insights to stakeholders effectively.

Technical Tools

• Power BI (Desktop, Service, and Mobile)
• SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
• Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query)
• Basic knowledge of ETL tools or processes (optional)

Experience

• Developing Dashboards: Created dynamic, KPI-driven dashboards for [specific industries, e.g., retail, finance, or logistics], increasing visibility into key performance metrics.
• DAX Implementation: Used DAX functions to create custom measures for sales performance, trend analysis, and forecast modeling.
• Data Connectivity: Integrated multiple data sources into Power BI, including SQL databases, Excel files, and online services.
• Requirement Gathering: Worked closely with business teams to define objectives, ensuring dashboards meet their analytical needs.

Behavioral Skills:

• Very good communication skills
• Should be very interactive and top on deliverables being working from client environment
• Ready to learn new tools and technology

Qualification:

• Bachelor's or masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience
