Job Description
To join the Group Finance Systems team, we are seeking a recently qualified accountant (or comparable level of expertise).
The job will involve supporting the development of the Groups financial system tools, such as the ERP system, with a focus on client invoicing, financial reports, new Web based interface deployment.
It is crucial to comprehend the basic financial accounting operations at the transactional level. General ledger, banking, accounts payable, purchase orders, invoicing, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and expenses will all be covered.
The candidate will be required to comprehend the reporting requirements from stakeholders to create specification documents for IT developers. After that, they will be responsible for testing the developments.
Key Duties:
- Assuming responsibility for the system development change management process, which entails evaluating requests, developing design specifications, testing in various settings, and publishing updates or announcements for each release.
- Assist with the testing of system upgrades and enhancements.
- Support the Group Finance ServiceNow resolver group, including assisting with resolving general queries.
- Support developers in order to expedite release of BO report changes (attend technical and sprint meetings)
- Interface with Group IT team to resolve system or report issues.
- Assist with sporadic duties and unique projects
Candidate Specification
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA)
- Must be highly motivated
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Able to establish good working relationships with colleagues in other functions and work collaboratively
- Able to work on own initiative
- Good interpersonal skills required
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong Excel skills to an intermediate to high level (Vlookups and pivot table experience). Macro writing experience is desirable.
- Understanding of finance systems and accounting processes
