Role Overview

The Assistant Manager, Supply Chain Management plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our supply chain. This position is responsible for overseeing various aspects of warehouse management, inventory control, and logistics. The individual will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery of products, optimize inventory levels, and minimize operational costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
• Raising indents for warehouse requirements.
• Getting quotes & sharing comparative analysis of quotes with management.
• Implement and maintain efficient inventory control procedures, including stock management, cycle counting, and inventory audits.
• Optimize warehouse layout and processes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Oversee and manage warehouse staff, including training, performance evaluation, and motivation.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse productivity and efficiency.
• Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and products.
• Monitor and analyse supply chain performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.

Educational Qualification: -

• Bachelors degree from a recognised University
• Candidates with degrees in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields will be given preference. The ideal candidate will have a proven understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and warehouse operations.

Relevant Experience: -

• Candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations or supply chain management.

This experience should demonstrate a strong track record of managing warehouse operations, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing teams will be highly valued.

Technical Skills

• Understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software,
• Microsoft Office Suite

The candidate should be comfortable using technology to manage and analyse data, track performance, and improve operational efficiency. Additional experience with data analytics tools and techniques would be beneficial.
