About the team and role :

The role is to lead MOFL's underwriting team for both secured and unsecured loans to HNI clients including underwriting emerging corporates and overall portfolio monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

- Appraising proposals for secured and unsecured lending including LAS, LAP, ESOP, IPO Funding, Promoter Funding, Corporate Loans and Unsecured Loan proposals sourced through internal stakeholders.

- Understanding credit worthiness of customers along with intention to repay the loan by analyzing all documents, observation & findings of PD.

- Approve credit proposals within delegation power assigned or recommend to next higher approving level.

- Presentation of proposals to credit committee and responding to queries/analytical request from the committee.

- Ensuring high level of integrity and accuracy of credit information.

- Vetting of product launches under new product policy and suggesting risk mitigants from credit risk perspective.

- Deploy credit strategy which is aligned with business strategy and targeted customer segment.

- Develop various underwriting models using alternate data through AI/ML and build scorecards.

- Study, analysis and interpretation of legal & technical reports of property and other check reports.

- Continuously improvise underwriting capability based on portfolio performance.

- Actively partner with business heads and structure customized solutions.

- Implementation of various RBI related guidelines pertaining to Credit Risk.

- Maintaining and reporting of various MIS to monitor portfolio performance from revenue and risk perspective.

- Effectively manage & upskill the credit team along with allocation of workload.

- Support the deliverance of appropriate training need for team to improve process and service quality, automation and dashboard reporting.

- Leading, mentoring, monitoring the performance of the team members to ensure efficiency in process and operations.

- Develop metrics, scorecards and status reports to track operational performance across team.

- Creating and sustaining a dynamic environment that fosters development opportunities and motivates high performance among team members.

Desired Skills and Experience:

- Work experience: 10-15 years in credit underwriting in LAS/LAP/Corporate Loans/Unsecured Loans.

- Qualifications: CA/MBA.

- Good understanding of accounting standards, IGAAP/IND-AS, Annual reports.

- Strong understanding of Credit Risk analysis and credit related policies & process.

- Knowledge and experience of having dealt in similar products, procedure and documentation.

- Ability to understand economic/industry cycles.

- Excellent communication skills-verbal, written including report writing.
