Job Description

Job Summary

Sales Specialist is responsible for promoting and selling solar energy solutions to residential, commercial, and industrial clients. The role involves educating potential customers on the benefits of solar energy, conducting site assessments, and delivering customized proposals. The ideal candidate is a motivated, results-driven individual with strong communication skills and a passion for renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Acquisition & Sales

- Identify and generate leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, and online marketing efforts.

- Conduct consultations with potential customers to understand their energy needs and recommend suitable solar solutions.

- Prepare and present tailored solar system proposals, including cost analysis and ROI estimates.

Client Relationship Management

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.

- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and objections in a professional and timely manner.

- Guide customers through the sales and installation process, ensuring a seamless experience.

Market Research & Outreach

- Stay updated on industry trends, local regulations, and incentive programs.

- Collaborate with marketing teams to execute outreach campaigns and promotional activities.

- Represent the company at trade shows, community events, and other networking opportunities.

Collaboration & Reporting :

- Work closely with design, engineering, and installation teams to ensure accurate project execution.

- Track and report sales metrics, pipeline progress, and customer feedback to the sales manager.

- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Qualifications :

Education & Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Studies, or related field preferred.

- 2+ years of sales experience preferably in the solar, renewable energy, or related industries.

- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.

Skills & Competencies :

- Strong understanding of solar energy systems, financing options, and local incentive programs.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently.

Technical Requirements :


- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales tracking tools.


- Proficiency in using design tools like Aurora Solar or Helioscope is a plus.

- Basic knowledge of MS Office and Google Workspace.
