Software Development Lead

Job Description

As a Software Development Lead, you will play a pivotal role in our engineering team, providing technical leadership and guidance to ensure the successful execution of projects. You will oversee the technical aspects of our engineering initiatives, drive innovation, and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions. This role requires a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team, ensuring alignment with best practices, architectural principles, and coding standards.
• Project Management: Work closely with the Product Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, including defining project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Code Quality and Review: Regularly review pull requests and set team standards for the PR process. Ensure adherence to coding standards, performance optimization, and overall code quality. Implement and enforce best practices for testing and quality assurance.
• Mentorship and Coaching: Mentor and coach junior engineers, providing guidance on technical skills development, problem-solving, and career growth.
• Technology Evaluation and Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends. Drive innovation by introducing new tools, frameworks, and methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Full stack Development Excellence: Demonstrated excellence in coding skills with front and back-end technologies including DevOps processes in cloud environments with either AWS or GCP.
• 2 years of proven experience in a technical leadership role, preferably in a software engineering environment.
• In-depth knowledge of software engineering best practices, including design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Agile).
• Demonstrated ability to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, including coaching, mentoring, and team building.
