Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Raw Material Procurement: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers of raw materialsin line with company requirements.Negotiate and establish contracts for theprocurement of raw materials at competitive prices.Ensure a continuous supply ofraw materials by maintaining strong relationships with existing suppliers andexploring new suppliers when necessary.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and track raw material inventory levels to ensurethe correct balance between supply and demand. Work with the production andwarehouse teams to forecast material requirements and maintain optimal stocklevels. Ensure that raw materials are delivered on time to avoid production delays.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Collaborate with the Quality Control team toensure that all raw materials meet the companyquality standards and regulatoryrequirements.Oversee the inspection and testing of raw materials to verifycompliance with specifications.
Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships withkey suppliers, managing any issues related to quality, delivery, or cost.Regularlyreview supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery schedules.Address supplier- related challenges proactively and resolve issues efficiently.- Cost Management & Budgeting: Monitor and control raw material costs to ensurethey are within the allocated budget. Analyze market trends, material prices, andnegotiate contracts to secure the best pricing and terms.
