Overview :
The Team Lead Quality Testing is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes of our software products. As a Team Lead, you will lead a dedicated team of QA testers, driving the execution of testing strategies to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
Your expertise will be essential in identifying defects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and implementing best practices in the testing lifecycle.
The role involves collaborating closely with development teams and stakeholders to establish clear testing objectives and to deliver software that meets customer expectations. This position not only requires technical acumen in software testing but also demands strong leadership capabilities to nurture team talent and ensure robust quality assurance practices are followed.
You will play a critical role in fostering a culture of quality within the organization, ensuring the team thrives and delivers valuable products that align with our business goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead a team of QA testers and oversee daily testing activities.
- Develop and execute test strategies and test plans for various projects.
- Coordinate with development teams to align testing efforts with project timelines.
- Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring thorough follow-up.
- Establish and maintain quality assurance metrics to evaluate team performance.
- Participate in requirement reviews to provide input for testability and quality.
- Guide the team in manual and automated testing methodologies.
- Conduct regular training and skill development session for the team members.
- Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
- Ensure adherence to QA standards and methodologies.
- Prepare comprehensive test reports and present findings to stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the QA process.
- Oversee the execution of regression tests for new software updates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the development process.
- Monitor industry trends in quality assurance and testing tools.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Proven experience in a leadership position, managing QA teams.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Proficient in defect tracking and test management tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Familiarity with programming languages (Java, Python, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality assurance.
- Experience in developing test cases and scripts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Certifications in quality assurance (i.e., ISTQB) are preferred.
