In this role, you will lead, manage, and mentor a team of Software Engineer in Test. You will leverage your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to :

- Define and implement the testing architecture, strategies, and tools that ensure high-quality software delivery.

- Provide hands-on leadership while overseeing test planning, automation strategy, and the testing lifecycle.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence and improve both manual and automated testing processes in a fast-paced Agile environment.

- Mentor and guide junior Software Engineer in Test, fostering their growth, and ensuring continuous improvements in quality assurance strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts, frameworks, and tools to streamline testing processes, with expertise in API, UI, and manual testing for web applications.

- Define and implement comprehensive testing strategies, including functional, non-functional, integration, regression, and performance testing, while driving continuous improvements in quality assurance and automation workflows.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of testing into development cycles, with optimized CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery.

- Develop and manage performance, scalability, and load-testing frameworks using tools like K6, JMeter, and Gatling, ensuring system reliability and robustness under varying workloads.

- Mentor and guide junior Software Engineer in Test, fostering a culture of innovation, learning, and adherence to Agile methodologies, SDLC, and STLC principles.

- Act as a quality assurance advocate, leading discussions, decisions, and improvements across multiple teams and projects.

- Demonstrate proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL), NoSQL (MongoDB), and frameworks like Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Robot Framework, and Rest-Assured.

- Showcase strong expertise in REST API, Backend, database, and microservices testing, ensuring system functionality and performance.

- Drive the development of advanced tools and testing solutions aligned with modern software and systems architecture.

- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive, with excellent communication skills for explaining complex testing concepts to diverse audiences.

REPORTING LINE :

- You will be reporting to the Manager I, Development Operations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience in test automation, software quality assurance, or related fields.

- ISTQB or other relevant software testing certifications.

- AWS Certified Developer (Associate) or AWS Cloud Practitioner certification is required.

- Experience in penetration testing and exploitability-focused vulnerability assessment.

- Good knowledge of Software Testing concepts and methodology.

- Good knowledge of Object Oriented Programming concepts and Design Patterns.

- Hands-on Knowledge of Test Automation approaches, Frameworks, and Tools.

- Hands-on experience in UI, API, Cross Browser Testing Tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION :

- Proven experience designing and implementing advanced test automation frameworks, leveraging programming languages like Java, Python, or C#.

- Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, with hands-on experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.

- Advanced knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner and API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.

- Strong track record in creating detailed test plans, strategies, and reporting frameworks, along with mentoring junior engineers and leading testing initiatives.

- In-depth understanding of Agile development practices and software/system architecture, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance in testing environments.

- Experience with Mobile application testing on Android or iOS and using open-source API and unit test automation frameworks.

- Ability to handle multiple projects, triage issues, and adapt to changes while maintaining strong collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
