Tool Room Engineer

Job Description-

• Collaborate with NPD, design and production teams to develop new fixture designs and improve existing ones.
• Hands on experience on fixture design using CAM software (Preferably Solid CAM).
• Co-ordinate with outside service provider for tool manufacturing.
• Ensure that all fixtures is properly maintained and repaired to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Oversee the manufacturing and testing of new fixtures, gauges including conducting quality checks to ensure that the finished product meets specifications.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure all Fixtures is maintained to a high standard.
• Work closely with production staff to identify and troubleshoot work holding issues, implementing solutions to minimize scrap and downtime.
• Manage the tool room budget, including purchasing new equipment and fixtures as needed.
• Leading and coordinating the planning, purchasing, scheduling and deployment of machine tools and CAM software for manufacturing.
• Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Kaizen in machine shop.
