Job Title: Quality Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Manager to oversee and drive the quality assurance process from the shop floor to final dispatch. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality management, along with in-depth technical knowledge and leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure product quality throughout the entire manufacturing process, from shop floor operations to dispatch.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of quality parameters and ensure they are met consistently.
• Have a deep understanding of CNC, VMC (5-axis), HMC, cylindrical grinding (ID and OD), surface grinding, broaching, and gun drilling processes.
• Possess basic knowledge of heat treatment processes including volume hardening and case carburizing.
• Lead and manage a team for in-line inspection and final inspection.
• Drive continuous improvement in supplier and job worker quality, implement systems at suppliers to meet quality goals, and manage supplier rejections and claims settlement.
• Manage customer complaints, perform root cause analysis, and utilize 8D and 7QC tools for effective resolutions.
• Enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring the delivery of zero-defect products.
• Develop and implement process quality control systems, including inspection procedures and work instructions (WI).
• Provide support for New Product Introduction (NPI) quality planning (APQP) and PPAP.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and champion continuous improvement activities.
• Utilize quality tools and statistical techniques to perform diagnosis, troubleshooting, analysis, and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Conduct daily rejection analysis and prepare quality-related MIS charts for review.
• Perform detailed inspections, layout checks, and Gap & Flush analysis for both new and existing products.
• Be responsible for the reduction of the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
• Provide quality, product, and process training to team members to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Promote product reliability and safety within the team.
• Support IATF internal and external audits, as well as customer-related audits.
• Handle customer complaints by leading root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D methodology.
• Review daily complaints and containment actions, summarizing results with vendor Gemba verification.
• Conduct new supplier evaluations and assist with supplier selection.
• Lead internal, supplier, and product/process audits and prepare audit reports.
• Propose cost reduction opportunities within the manufacturing process.
• Lead process improvements and provide solutions for upstream projects.
• Manage documentation for QMS, including EMS 14001:2015, ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, PPAP, APQP, Product/Process Audits, SPC, MSA, and Layout Inspection.
• Handle TML portal activities.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in quality management and process control.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality assurance standards.
• Proficient in quality tools and techniques such as 8D, 7QC, SPC, MSA, RCA.
• Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
• Ability to drive continuous process improvements and solve complex quality-related issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and quality management software.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, and related industry standards.
• Experience with audits and compliance management.
