Job Title: Vice President - Academics
Location: Bangalore
Job Description: Vice President - Academics will play a strategic role in overseeing the execution and effective delivery of academic programs. This position will also be responsible for curriculum development, faculty management, and ensuring alignment with university requirements across multiple locations in India.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Program Execution and Delivery:**
- Oversee the implementation and smooth operation of academic programs.
- Ensure the timely and quality execution of curriculum and syllabus.
- Align program delivery with university guidelines and standards.
2. Curriculum Development:
- Lead the development and revision of curricula and course content.
- Conduct curriculum mapping based on university standards and industry requirements.
- Ensure curricula are updated and competitive with current educational trends.
3. **Board of Studies Liaison:**
- Act as a key liaison with the Board of Studies.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings, discussions, and approvals.
- Implement decisions and feedback from the Board into academic planning.
4. **Faculty Management:**
- Coordinate hiring processes for faculty across all locations.
- Develop strategies for faculty recruitment, retention, and development.
- Manage faculty outsourcing operations to meet the organizations academic goals.
5. **Partnership Development:**
- Build and maintain partnerships with academic institutions and industry experts.
- Promote collaboration and exchange programs to enhance academic offerings.
6. **Quality Assurance and Compliance:**
- Ensure academic programs meet quality assurance and compliance standards.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits of academic operations and procedures.
7. **Reporting and Evaluation:**
- Create and manage reports on academic performance metrics and achievements.
- Evaluate and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of academic operations.
8. **Strategic Development:**
- Contribute to strategic planning for academic growth and innovation.
- Identify potential opportunities for new programs and improvements.
**Qualifications and Skills:**
Qualification:
- Masters degree in Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field; Ph.D. preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in academia, with proven leadership capabilities.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in managing multi-location academic operations is desirable.
**Work Location:**
- Based in India, with travel requirements to various educational sites as necessary.
