Job Summary:
The New Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in expanding the company's global presence by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities in international markets.
Reporting to the Senior International Sales Manager, this role involves researching target markets, establishing relationships with potential clients, and leading the end-to-end business development process.
Key Responsibilities:
1. New Business Development:
Proactively identify and evaluate new business opportunities in assigned international markets.
Build a pipeline of potential clients by conducting market research, cold calling, attending industry events, and networking.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive positioning to drive growth.
2. Market Analysis & Research:
Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in new markets.
Analyze competitors and industry developments to create strategies that give the company a competitive edge.
Work closely with the sales team and other departments to align market entry strategies with overall business objectives.
3. Client Acquisition & Relationship Building:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, partners, and distributors in targeted international markets.
Lead the entire sales process from prospecting to contract negotiation, securing new accounts and long-term partnerships.
Collaborate with internal teams (product, marketing, legal) to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing client satisfaction.
4. Sales Target Achievement:
Set and meet ambitious sales goals by driving new business opportunities and converting leads into successful partnerships.
Work closely with the Senior International Sales Manager to align new business efforts with broader sales objectives and KPIs.
5. Proposal & Contract Management:
Prepare and present compelling business proposals, pricing models, and presentations to potential clients.
Lead contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with company policies and international regulations.
Work with the legal and finance teams to secure appropriate agreements that minimize risk and maximize profitability.
6. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
Collaborate with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure alignment on new business initiatives and client needs.
Communicate client feedback and market insights to internal teams to guide product development and market positioning.
7. International Travel & Networking:
Attend international trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote the companys offerings and build relationships with key decision-makers.
Travel to target markets to meet with prospects and clients as required.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is an advantage.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in international markets. Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel internationally up to 30-40% of the time, depending on business needs and market opportunities.
