Job Description
Network Design and Implementation
- Design, implement, and manage advanced networking solutions, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center networks.
- Collaborate with architecture teams to create scalable network designs supporting business growth.
- Configure and deploy routers, switches, firewalls, and other network hardware.
- Act as the third-level escalation point for resolving complex network issues.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
- Ensure high availability and redundancy of critical network components.
- Implement and enforce security protocols to protect network integrity.
- Work with cybersecurity teams to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate networking solutions into broader IT strategies.
- Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and processes.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to L1 and L2 network engineers.
- Analyze network performance metrics and implement reliability and scalability.
- Conduct periodic network audits to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions.
- Utilize advanced tools for network monitoring, management, and security (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, etc.).
- Stay updated on emerging networking technologies and recommend adoption where beneficial.
- Bachelors degree and equivalent experience.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, and CCIE. (Any)
- Minimum 57 years of experience in network engineering, with at least 2 years in an L3 or equivalent role.
- Proven expertise in working with complex network infrastructures, including Cisco, Juniper, and other major vendors.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLAN, VPN, QoS).
- Hands-on experience with firewall technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR) for escalated network issues.
- Network uptime and availability metrics.
- Successful completion of projects within defined timelines and budgets.
- Compliance with security and operational standards.
