Job Title: Equity Research Analyst

Role Overview: Our client is seeking a seasoned Equity Research Analyst with a broad sector focus, particularly in Capital Goods, Power Utilities, Automobiles, and Auto Ancillaries. This role requires a robust understanding of equity research principles, driven by both analytical acumen and sector knowledge, to support investment strategies for a high-value AUM.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct detailed research and analysis of industry trends, company fundamentals, and financial forecasts across multiple sectors, with a focus on Capital Goods, Power Utilities, Automobiles, and Auto Ancillaries.

- Prepare and present comprehensive research reports and investment recommendations for key stakeholders, contributing to the firm's overarching investment strategy.

- Maintain continuous engagement with market trends and developments within relevant sectors, ensuring alignment with the investment philosophy.

Reporting Structure:

- Direct Reporting: Senior members of the investment team.

- Leadership Oversight: Head of Investments.

- Current Team: The investment team comprises analysts, dealers, and a CIO who provides overarching guidance and direction.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Background and Experience: Strong foundation in equity research, ideally gained from a mutual fund, insurance company, or broking firm. Sector-specific experience in Capital Goods, Power Utilities, Automobile, and Auto Ancillary industries is highly desirable.

Target Talent Pool:

- Candidates with experience from life insurance, mutual funds, or sell-side research backgrounds, particularly from Tier 1 and Tier 2 firms.

- Exclusions: Not seeking candidates with backgrounds in PMS setups, family offices, or specific broking institutions.
