The HR Leader role is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support to our Indian business unit.
The HR Leader will support a multi-functional business unit consisting of approximately 120 employees. This key HR position will be a member of the APAC HR leadership team and will report directly to the APAC Human Resource Director, and dotted line to the Managing Director - India.
Strategic leadership & partnering with business:
- As a senior HR leader, drive forward and accept collective responsibility together with the business leader and other functional leaders for a range of departmental and cross-functional HR initiatives which are required to ensure that changes are embedded in a sustainable manner throughout the organization.
- Work hand-in-hand with the business and finance for planning and budgeting personal costs as per the Annual Operating Plan and in line with the Long-Range Plan.
Recruitment
- Provide workforce planning and staffing support to all departments within the business unit.
- Workforce planning will consist of identifying the manpower requirements of the business unit and determining the ratio of on-roll & off-roll employees. It will also entail working closely with manpower consultants/placement agencies
Performance Evaluation:
- Review and evaluate individual & team performances.
- Performance appraisal - end-to-end process.
- Plan and execute increments, promotions, restructuring, re-alignment, relocation/transfer exercises.
- Personnel and other HR related record management.
Exit & Separation:
- Resignation acceptance and overseeing all separation actions such as exit interviews and full & final settlements.
Experience Required:
- Senior level of knowledge related to legal employment practices in India.
- Minimum of 10 years of HR Experience with at least 5 of those years in similar role.
- Previous experience providing HR support to senior leadership.
- Proven ability to build relationships, establish personal credibility and demonstrate HR expertise to earn place as valued and trusted business partner.
- Previous experience developing recruitment strategies and pro-actively sourcing talent.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to develop a deep understanding of the business and its strategic direction and provide links to HR strategies and programs.
