Job Description:
The position is Team Lead of technical writers, managing project resources and ensuring the efficient production of high-quality documentation for MT LAB instruments.
MT LAB instruments are analytical and precision instruments that are used to analyze several parameters in Pharma (including BioPharma), Chemical, F&B, Semiconductors and Battery segments. The technical documents created for our instruments are diverse, for eg. Manuals, Operation Instructions, Quick Setup Guide, Basic Preventive Maintenance Documents, One Pagers (with QR code). Different product teams are responsible for the differnet technologies. This role will act as an interface between all the product teams and other stakeholders like the R&D teams, complaince team, marketing team, product management teams to manage an end-on-end process of creation of techcnial documents.
This role requires strong leadership skills, project management expertise, and a commitment to producing high-quality technical documentation.
1. Team Leadership
i. Being the primary contact for resource planning, project estimates, and task allocation.
ii. Manage HR tasks and support for the team's needs.
iii. Organize team meetings and one-on-ones to keep members informed and engaged.
2. Resource and Project Management
i. Act as the primary contact for resource planning and project distribution.
ii. Monitor project timelines and identify potential bottlenecks.
iii. Lead the establishment of a technical documentation team, ensuring adherence to documentation standards.
3. Standardization and Collaboration
i. Address standardization issues and promote best practices among the documentation team.
ii. Collaborate with other departments to align technical documentation efforts.
4. Translation Oversight
i. Oversee translation processes for user interfaces and documents, ensuring quality and efficiency and coordinate UI translations with externals.
5. Documentation and Tools Management
i. Maintain and manage a document database for proper tracking and archival.
ii. Ensure accurate documentation creation, including service manuals and compliance content.
iii. Implement improvements in documentation tools and processes.
6. Compliance and Communication
i. Track compliance-related documentation requirements and address any requests from the compliance team.
ii. Represent the technical documentation perspective in cross-project initiatives, ensuring documentation needs are met.
