Metal Power - Senior Manager - Procurement (12-18 yrs)

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Place RFQs as per BoM / MRP & receive Quotations from suppliers.

- Prepare apple to apple comparative statements of the parts

- Finalization of rates in accordance with the internal pricing process.

- Preparation of Purchase Order while taking due care of Taxes, Rates and T&C. Issue purchase order as per BOM / MRP after hierarchal approval.

- Coordinate with local plant team / R&D team for delivery schedule requirements. Follows up on orders to ensure that materials are shipped and delivered on promised dates.

- Taking ownership for having the inspection of the goods received for quality as well as quantity to ensure adherence to the specifications.

- Checking of invoices in accordance with Purchase order.

- Organizing timely payment of contractors after receiving material as per quality norms.

- Ensure all the files are updated on weekly / monthly basis with all the purchase related documents, Invoices, POs, DCs, Internal departmental documents etc.,

- Updating Excel Order Dashboard for internal coordination over emails or F2F.

- Maintain files with descriptions of available suppliers and materials for their rating / performance evaluation.

- Maintain a comparison register of all goods and services.

- Maintain data base of material with updated price and technical specifications.

- Coordinating with R&D architects to select finishing material in budgeted price, quality & quantity.

- Closely coordinating with stores team for managing warehouse inventory.

- Check Inward Register Entries and compare with POs.

- Tie-ups with vendors over every item and maintain a database of impanelled suppliers.

- Co-ordinate with Accounts Dept for Purchase related payments and others of any.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Having 12 to 15 years of experience in Source to Pay Procurement Management.

- Well conversant with supplier pricing structure and negotiation techniques.

- Good understanding on Mechanical, Electronics & Optical parts, their manufacturing & pricing structure.

- Well conversant with cost optimization methodology & should have handled such exercises in previous capacities.

- Well conversant with price discovery strategy and trend analysis from competitive markets.

- Understanding of market indices w.r.t. pricing of metals, its alloys and Forex.

- Cordially participates in New Vendor Development and Components /Parts Development for R&D requirements.

- Understanding on import / export operations and customs clearance handling, import supplier's management with the alignment of global commodity strategy.

- Conduct offers assessment and negotiations, coordination with Engineering and ensure the techno-commercial evaluation of the offers.

- Act as a support for Supplier Capacity Mapping, Supplier Evaluation, Supplier Risk Assessments, Audits and Quality Improvements.

- Follow best procurement practises in industry, process and eliminate gaps in material management for ordering, delivery, and quality aspects.

- Should have working knowledge of rates, contract terms, vendors and recent trends.

- Good in communication skills.

- Strong Integrity of character.

Negotiations skills:

- Proficiency in SAP, MS Excel, MS Power-Point, MS Word.
