Network Engineer

• Install, configure, and maintain security using technologies like Firewalls, Proxy, WAF, DLP, EDR, IAM, DAM, etc. to meet the organization's security requirements.
• Monitor the logs and alerts for security incidents, investigate and respond to any identified issues.
• Manage and Troubleshoot issues faced along with the relevant team.
• Regularly update and patch the security appliances to ensure the latest security features and bug fixes are applied.
• Optimize performance and fine-tune rules to maximize efficiency while maintaining security.
• Expected to acquire expertise in one or more technologies to support the existing team.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in cyber security and networking by attending necessary training and pursuing relevant certifications.

Requirements:

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant training or certifications in networking or cybersecurity are highly valued.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.
• Familiarity with network protocols (e.g., HTTP, HTTPS, FTP) and network services (e.g., DNS, VPN, DHCP).
• Good understanding of network security principles such as Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and encryption techniques.
• Knowledge of common cyber threats, such as DDoS attacks, phishing, malware, and ransomware, and how they can affect networks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
