Network Engineer

1. Network Design & Implementation

• Design and implement network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
• Configure and install routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Ensure proper network architecture based on business needs and scalability.

2. Network Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Monitor network performance and ensure optimal uptime.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues, including connectivity problems and security threats.
• Conduct regular system and network audits to identify potential problems.

3. Security & Compliance

• Implement network security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
• Ensure data protection and compliance with security policies and industry standards.
• Regularly update network security protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments.

4. Network Monitoring & Performance Optimization

• Use network monitoring tools to track traffic, detect anomalies, and optimize performance.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve network efficiency.
• Upgrade network components and software as required.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain records of network configurations, troubleshooting steps, and system updates.
• Create and update network topology diagrams and system documentation.
• Generate reports on network performance, issues, and improvements.

6. Vendor & Client Coordination

• Collaborate with vendors for hardware/software purchases, maintenance, and support.
• Provide technical support to internal teams and clients regarding network issues.
• Ensure smooth integration of new hardware and software with the existing network.

7. Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans for network infrastructure.
• Conduct regular backup tests to ensure quick recovery in case of network failures.
• Implement failover strategies for business continuity.
