Global Business Process Expert - Credit ManagementPosition Overview:The Global Business Process Expert - Credit Management is a key leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing global credit management processes across the organization.
This role ensures efficient, standardized, and compliant credit management practices, aligning with the companys financial objectives and risk management strategies.
The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in credit management, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to drive operational excellence and ensure seamless credit operations globally.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Design and StandardizationDevelop, implement, and continuously improve global credit management processes, policies, and procedures.
Ensure standardization of credit management workflows across all regions and business units, while addressing local regulatory and business needs.
Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and maintain best practices for credit approval, credit limits, and collections.
2. Credit Risk ManagementOversee the evaluation of customer creditworthiness using financial analysis, credit scoring models, and risk assessments.Define and enforce policies for credit limits, terms, and conditions to minimize credit risk and optimize cash flow.
Monitor global credit portfolios to identify trends, mitigate risks, and implement proactive measures.
3. Stakeholder CollaborationPartner with regional finance teams, sales, and customer service teams to align credit management practices with business objectives.
Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams to ensure successful implementation of credit-related systems and tools.Communicate effectively with senior management and stakeholders regarding credit management performance, risks, and improvement initiatives.
4. System Implementation and OptimizationLead the implementation and optimization of enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other credit management tools) to support efficient credit operations.Ensure data accuracy and integrity within credit management systems through regular audits and process monitoring.Identify and recommend technology solutions to automate and enhance credit management processes.
5. Compliance and GovernanceEnsure all credit management practices comply with internal policies, local regulations, and global standards.
Develop and maintain governance frameworks for credit management processes, including documentation and training.Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with established policies and identify areas for improvement.
6. Performance Monitoring and ReportingEstablish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of credit management processes.Analyze credit-related metrics and provide actionable insights to improve cash flow, reduce bad debt, and optimize working capital.Prepare and present regular reports on credit performance, risks, and opportunities to senior management.
Key Skills and Qualifications:Education and ExperienceBachelor s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
7+ years of experience in credit management, finance, or related roles in a multinational organization.Proven track record in process improvement and standardization across global operations.Technical SkillsExpertise in credit risk assessment methodologies and financial analysis.Proficiency in credit management systems and tools (e.g., SAP FSCM, Oracle, or similar platforms).
Strong understanding of global regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements related to credit management.Soft SkillsExceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with global and cross-functional teams.Leadership and project management skills to drive change and implement initiatives.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in managing large-scale system implementations or process transformation projects.Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in credit management and financial risk.
