Retail Merchandiser

Role & responsibilities

• Planning and developing merchandising strategies/plans to support sales and enhance fashion relevance on the shelves.
• Product allocation to stores / digital channels to meet departmental sales and stock targets.
• Input introductory and minimum build quantities for replenishments (working within the department stock targets).
• Monitoring stock position and maintaining stock norm through the weekly reports.
• Create reports on sales, budgets, customer satisfaction and adjust the strategies accordingly.
• Maximizing sales and sell-through across channels.
• Reviewing the size-wise availability of the product and take required actions.
• Ensuring product listing across digital channels as per catalog.
• Analysing sales figures, market trends and customer behaviour to determine product needs.
• Lead and monitor in store transfers, controlled dead inventory and improve stock turn.
• Analysing sales ratios against buying and actual intake ratios to optimize ratio availability; share feedback on sales ratio to influence future orders.
• Stocking sales floor shelves and creating attractive product displays.
• Determining the need for and implementing product promotions, price changes, mark downs, clear outs, etc.
• Leverage new systems and processes to optimize business.
• Sharing and implementing best practices in terms of allocation and providing support as required
• Attend events, fairs and exhibitions to remain up to date with the markets trends.

Preferred candidate profile

• Candidates from ethnic wear brand.
• Good communication & strong interpersonal skills
• Effective time management and learning agility
• Proficient in working on google suit and Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
• Prior knowledge of inventory management concepts including allocation.
