Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Team Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in BI technologies, good experience in team and project management, and proficiency in ETL tools, SQL, and cloud platforms. As a BI Team Lead, you will be working closely with finance stakeholders to understand their business needs, designing, and maintaining data architectures. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of BI developers, ensuring the successful delivery of BI projects, and driving continuous improvement in our BI processes.

Responsibilities:

• Project Management and Reviews –
• Lead and manage a team of BI developers, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to achieve team goals and objectives.
• Design documentation templates including project charters that has project plans, timelines, milestones, project closing documentation etc.
• Conduct and document regular reviews of project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure projects are on track and within scope.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations of the team, provide feedback, and facilitate training and development opportunities for team members.
• Actively drive critical BI projects involving SQL, Alteryx or any other BI tool.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement & ensure the BI team adheres to best practices and standards in data management and analytics.
• Design, and implement BI solutions using Cloud services (Azure / Fabric)
• Monitor overall BI process metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in BI technologies, recommending and implementing innovative solutions.
• Manage relationships with IT Teams and Finance stakeholders as needed for BI projects.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the BI team and across the organization.
• Communicate insights and recommendations effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven 10-14 years of BI experience including leading BI teams with a strong technical background.
• Expertise in ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica, SSIS or equivalent, Alteryx, data factory.
• Proficiency in SQL and database management systems and ability to write highly optimized SQL queries for complex requirement
• Proven Experience in any Cloud based solutions (Azure, Fabric, AWS, Informatica etc.)
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data integration techniques.
• Good knowledge of SAP and quality processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and provide insights.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Certifications in relevant BI technologies and cloud platforms are advantageous.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and scripting.
• Experience in Finance domain, is a plus
• Willing to work with both on-shore and off-shore teams.
