Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to achieve revenue targets and expand the company's customer base within the software and IT services industry.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive lead generation activities, such as networking, cold calling, attending industry events, and leveraging existing customer relationships.
  • Conduct market research to understand the competitive landscape, industry trends, and customer needs, and use these insights to tailor sales strategies and value propositions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within target accounts, positioning the company as a trusted advisor and solution provider.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to qualify leads, develop compelling proposals and presentations, and negotiate and close deals effectively.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing, ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the process.
  • Stay up-to-date with the company's product and service offerings, as well as industry best practices, to position solutions effectively and address customer needs.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and other industry events, delivering presentations and promoting the company's offerings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts in the company's customer relationship management (CRM) system.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on sales performance, pipeline status, and business development activities to management.


Desired Skills

  • Proven working experience as a business development Executive, sales executive, or a relevant role
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty
  • Market knowledge
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.
  • Proficiency in English
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a wide range of people, both internally and externally
  • Time management and planning skills
